History
Church of the Ascension has been a strong and vibrant community in Rochester for more than 130 years. It began as a group of people gathering in homes to share the love of God through word and worship; it took on a role as a sanctuary for those who were frightened and ill, and it continues today as a beacon of hope in the community it serves. The parish we are today is a testament to the history that brought us here.
